Email FAQ

What is the email sign-up for?

Dancer’s Edge students and staff can sign-up for an email address hosted by dancersedgemarion.com. The sign-up process is simple enough. Just fill out the form, wait, and you’ll be able to login to your account within 48 hours of your sign-up.

How do I access the email?

Dancer’s Edge has provided an easy-to-use web-based program online for your Dancer’s Edge email account. Simply click the “Email” selection in the menu at the top of this page, and you will open a new window. Then follow the steps below:

  1. Login using your username and password.(Check Why can’t I login? if you are having trouble with this.)
  2. Select RoundCube (Third option. Red logo.)
  3. Then you will be sent to your Inbox.
  4. When Logging Out of Dancer’s Edge email, always click “Logout” at the top right of your page.

Why can’t I login? It says I have an invalid username/password.

Answer #1: To tell you the truth, the email sign-up and the email area are not connected. We have to input every email into our server by hand. I will try to check the database at least once a day and start inputting email addresses. But, they will be up in less than 48 hours of your sign-up submission.

Answer #2: When logging into Dancer’s Edge email, you need to type the whole email address as the username:

Such as: {username}@dancersedgemarion.com

Then type in your password.  Make sure your password is spelled correctly. Passwords are case sensitive.

I forgot my password. What do I do now?

Email webmaster@dancersedgemarion.com from the alternate email address you used when you filled out the sign-up form. Instructions will then be sent to you on resetting your password.

Can I change my password?

Due to some improvements, users are now able to adjust their passwords. Here are some important rules to remember about internet passwords:

  1. Never give your password away!! Ever.
  2. Do not use your birthday, name, username, or dictionary words as your password no matter how random they are.
  3. Use common sense.  Strong passwords are between 8-16 characters. Use capital and lowercase letters (A-Z, a-z), numbers (0, 1-9), and the characters * . ! % $ to create an unique password that only you know.
  4. Never post your password publicly, such as a comment area, forum, blog, MySpace, Facebook, etc. Do not share your password through the Dancer’s Edge chat help. The real webmaster would never ask for your password.
